Policy Initiatives

The current political climate in the United States threatens the civil liberties and rights of both citizens and non-citizens.
Policies and laws are increasingly anti-immigrant, expand militarization both within and outside U.S. borders, support a ‘false’ fear, and exist within an unstable economy. WILD for Human Right’s Policy Initiatives are a strategic response to these realities.

We use the Universal Declaration of Human Rights proactively to set up basic minimum standards so that an individual/community understands all rights that are inherent to a person, and therefore recognizes the interdependency and indivisibility of civil, political and economic, social, cultural rights. One of our main focuses is not to position one set of rights at the expense of another.
